The Aruna Lamp is a hand-folded paper lamp inspired by the Principal Prang of Wat Arun. As the signature piece of the "Wat Arun Collection: Dawn Reawakens," it reinterprets historic architecture for the modern lifestyle.
The design stems from the Buddhist cosmology concept, where the principal prang represents Mount Meru—the cosmic axis and the center of the universe. The name "Arun" means "Dawn," signifying the first light, new beginnings, and hope. This lamp embodies the "first light of awakening" through its elegant and precise geometric design.
To replicate “Jom Hae" Styled Prang silhouette—the pinnacle of early Rattanakosin-era architecture, the lamp’s structure reinterprets the traditional polygonal base using a refined polygon origami hand-folding technique. Crafted with translucent paper to highlight the iconic indented corners and a natural octagonal wood base, the lamp harmonizes effortlessly with diverse interior styles.
It features three levels of brightness: white, orange, and soft yellow, tailored to diverse lifestyles, whether the user is reading, meditating, or relaxing before sleep.
